Mission 

Help to build first Gainy's first financial analytics data platform to support Gainy's mobile app. Establish development best practices and build backend engineering department.

Objectives

• Be a natural leader and promote Gainy's core values
• Design, build and maintain Gainy's data pipeline to ingest, process, and serve financial data to a mobile app in the scope of MVP 
• Ingest financial data from a third-party vendor
• Enrich and process financial data using internal statistical and ML classifiers
• Design, build and maintain Gainy's recommendation engine
• Establish engineering operational excellence
• Implement and maintain our cloud infrastructure
• Build and maintain backend's CI/CD pipeline
• Establish on-call rotation
• Establish backend engineering development best practices 
• Contribute to the engineering guidelines document
• Define iteration process end to end
• Established rapport with the executive team and the rest of the organization
• Active feedback loop during 1-1
• Build backend engineering team by hiring at least one engineer

Competencies

• 7-10+ years of experience working at startups or product organizations
• 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team
• Understanding and strong stance on what good engineering culture
• Ability to speak to Gainy's values
• Has experience interviewing and hiring at least 5 engineers in the past (stretch
• Track record of managing software development roadmap
• Proficiency in agile methodologies
